Apple's smartphones are creations in their own right, leaving little room for compromise. There are
the best cameras, a great screen, the fastest processor. But for those who "want a little more", the
manufacturer recommends the iPhone Pro versions. These models are in demand, including
professionals. After all, it's not just about the extra inches in screen diagonal or percentages in
synthetic tests. The iPhone Pro provides a whole new experience with Apple technology. The
September 2021 iPhone 13 lineup features two models with the prefix Pro. The iPhone 13 Pro and
iPhone 13 Pro Max are by far Apple's most powerful and best smartphones to date.
What iPhones were introduced by Apple 2021?
The first iPhone Pro models came in 2019 with the iPhone 11 range. Until then, Apple had opted for a
different naming, such as Plus for the larger models. But it was time to show that there were
smartphones not just with a bigger screen, but giving something new and special. The experience
proved successful, the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro models were in demand. Therefore, the
appearance of another "proshka" in the iPhone 13 lineup was not a surprise. In addition to the
smaller models, iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13, Apple has also presented the more powerful iPhone
13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Design of iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max
All the members of the family have a similar design. Moreover, it is almost exactly the same as the
previous model, iPhone 12. But this is understandable, given the three-year cycle of design updates.
And the shape is quite successful, there was no need to abandon it. The surgical stainless steel case
has rounded corners. The metal is not only durable, it is also lightweight.
The connecting frame has clear, straight edges. It was the design of the classic iPhone 4, as well as of
the current iPad Pro tablets. It makes sense – the range of models on sale is in the same style.
Although the sharp edges are questionable, there are always fans and opponents of the original
The front side is almost entirely taken up by the screen, with the exception of the cut-out for the
front camera, speaker and Face ID sensor. This time the "fringes" became at least smaller compared
to the previous generation iPhone, although such a cut obviously does not look modern anymore.
However, software developers have long adapted their products to this cutout in the iPhone. The
screen is protected by durable Ceramic Shield glass.
The back of the iPhone 13 Pro is covered by textured matte glass. Here in the upper left corner is a
large module with three cameras. They are arranged in a triangle. On the right, on the pad, above
and below one of the lenses, is the LiDAR sensor and flash. The apple logo on the back, of course, is
The controls have retained their location. On the right side of the iPhone 13 Pro, there is only a
power or lock button. The top edge doesn't have any buttons or connectors at all. But on the left side
you can find a SIM card slot, volume keys and silent mode switch. On the bottom edge there is a
Lightning slot for charging the smartphone and data transfer. The location of the microphones and
speakers has not changed.
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have the same look, differing only in size. And while the
regular Pro has identical dimensions and screen diagonal to the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Pro Max, as
you can tell even from the naming, is also the largest smartphone in the range. By now, no one is
surprised by phones with a screen diagonal of 6.5 inches or more. The three iPhone 13 models are
relatively compact, but if you want a really big device, the iPhone 13 Pro Max with its 6.7-inch screen
is your choice.
Overall dimensions of the iPhone 13 Pro
Length: 146.7 mm
Width: 71.5 mm
Weight: 203 grams
Dimensions of iPhone 13 Pro Max

Width: 78.1 mm
Colours of iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max
The older members of the range are really serious handsets that will be used by professionals. These
smartphones need to look stylish, but at the same time not recklessly fun and flashy. With this
approach in mind, Apple is offering colour options for the iPhone 13 Pro. These are sky blue, silver,
gold and graphite. There are slightly fewer options than the regular iPhone 13, and the colours are
