iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max – Overview of processor performance, camera and screen specs, colours and design.

Undoubtedly future flagships in 2021 – 2022!
Apple's September presentation was awaited by many, as it promised to showcase the new iPhone
13. The Apple iPhone 13 Pro and its alter ego iPhone 13 Pro Max were of particular interest to the
public, because they could be called the top devices of all time. Of course, the design of the
smartphones has not changed, as Apple has its own cycle of changing the appearance of flagships
with a duration of 3 months.

But there are a number of interesting innovations that are sure to please loyal fans of the brand.
There have been many rumours about the iPhone 13 Pro, but now we can say for sure which ones
were true and which ones turned out to be mere chimeras. We should warn you right away that the
iPhone's signature "fringes" haven't gone anywhere. It became a little smaller and narrower, but it
wasn't completely abandoned (and that's what Apple is all about).

Now it's worth looking at the key features of the new flagship from the Cupertinians.

Key features of the Apple iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max
For starters, it's worth taking a look at the key parameters of the new devices. The specifications are
able to give an initial indication of what we're dealing with. Spoiler alert: the specifications of the
iPhone 13 Pro do look impressive. However, take a look for yourself and draw your own conclusions:

SoC: A15 Bionic, 6 cores, Neural Engine unit.

Display: 6.1-inch OLED LTPO Super Retina XDR, Pro Motion, True Tone, 800 to 1000 nits brightness.
Pro Max has the same screen, but with a 6.7-inch diagonal.

Flash memory: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB.

Battery: 3,095 mAh.

Fast charging: 30W + reverse charging.

Rear camera: triple, optically stabilised with sensor shift.

Front camera: ultra-wide-angle.

OS: iOS 15.

The rest: 5G support, satellite communication in emergencies.

From the parameters, it is clear that we are facing a really new smartphone, which differs
significantly from the devices of the previous generation. However, in order to understand what
exactly has changed in the iPhone we need to look at its key features in more detail. Let's start with
the appearance.

Girl on a picknik holding her cell phone. Wearing jeans and sneakers. On the left there is a basket with apples and grapes. In front of her is a vintage camera, headphones and bicycle.

Design and appearanceApple iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max
The iPhone 13 Pro's exterior (especially the front) is virtually indistinguishable from the previous
generation model. The body with sharp corners will remain. The resemblance to the legendary
iPhone 5 due to the flat edges hasn't gone anywhere either. The main innovation is a different
camera module: the lenses are now larger and arranged diagonally. The Pro Max version is no
different in design from its smaller sibling.

Also the FaceID fringes have become smaller. Reducing its size was made possible by the fact that the
speaker was moved almost under the frame itself, and the sensors have become physically smaller.
Only the front-facing camera remains the same size. Naturally, Apple has offered users a few new
colours too: matte black and sky blue. The colour palette is also relevant for the Pro Max

It's worth noting that the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max have a vacuum-coated, high-quality stainless
steel frame. This made the new iPhone not only incredibly beautiful, but also as strong as possible.
There is now full IP68 water protection.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max displays
It's a 6.1-inch OLED panel made with Super Retina XDR technology with a new LTPO matrix with
about 20% reduced power consumption. The dynamic LTPO display supports the True Motion option
and is capable of automatically adjusting the refresh rate between 10Hz and 120Hz. The iPhone 13
Pro Max features exactly the same OLED (Super Retina XDR) screen, but at 6.7 inches diagonally,
making it one of the largest on the market.

Nevertheless, the display still displays colours just as well, as the advanced Retina technology hasn't
gone anywhere. Of course, there's also the much-loved True Tone technology, which adjusts the
brightness and colour temperature of the screen to the surrounding environment, reducing strain on
the eyes.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max, despite its larger screen size, makes the screen even more intuitive to use.
Both modifications have adjustable brightness ranging from 800 to 1000 nits.

What cameras the Apple iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max have
The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max get 12MP cameras with a ƒ/2.8 aperture on the telephoto lens,
ƒ/1.5 on the wide angle lens, ƒ/1.8 and 120 degree view on the super-wide angle lens. Triple optical
zoom to zoom in and double zoom out is implemented, digital zoom up to ×15, LiDAR technology is
used in night photography, panorama shooting up to 63MP.
